2020 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS TIPPERARY CREDIT UNION LIMITED HAVE MADE THE DECISION TO DEFER IT’S AGM UNTIL EARLY 2021

Members will be given advanced notice of the AGM date, time, etc by mail or electronic means depending on the preference we hold on file for each member.

NOTE RE: DIVIDEND AND INTEREST REBATE

Tipperary Credit Union has taken the difficult decision not to pay any dividend or interest rebate this year (2020). Despite our intention to do so, we are guided by the Central Bank who advised all Credit Unions in September 2020

that “we do not expect that proposed distributions (dividend or loan interest rebate) would feature in the 2020 financial year”. The Central Bank have advised all Credit Unions to prioritise “maintenance and building of reserves over the payment of any distributions to members”.

We appreciate this will be disappointing news to our members, but we felt it was important to follow Central Bank guidance on this matter for the betterment of all members of Tipperary Credit Union.

We thank you for your understanding and we hope to be in a position to resume dividend and rebate payments by end of December 2021.
