Congratulations to the winners of this years Christmas bonanza. We had four cars up for grabs as part of our Christmas Draw.

St Patrick's Day Tipperary Town

St Patrick’s Day Parade

Tipperary Credit Union was delighted to be the main sponsors of this year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade in Tipperary Town.

Well done to T.I.R.D Chamber of Commerce and all who were involved in making the parade happen. There was a lot of hard work and commintment required and a great day was had by all.

Special thank you to Marian and Mike Kiely who designed our float this year. Also thanks to the staff and volunteers of Tipperary Credit Union who braved the weather and marched with our float.


50th Anniversary Flag Competition

50th Anniversary Flag Competition

Tipperary Credit Union will have been servicing the financial needs of our community for 50 years in 2017. To mark this wonderful achievement we are asking our members to design a new flag for us. This flag will be launched in January 2017 .


A Flag’s purpose is to represent a place, organisation, or person. We want your flag to incorporate what Tipperary Credit Union means to you, your family and your community and how it has grown over the last 50 years.

The Theme of the Flag is “50 Years of Tipperary Credit Union”.

Terms and Conditions

  • The flag must be designed on A4 landscape.
  • The theme of the flag is “50 Years of Tipperary Credit Union”.
  • The flag must incorporate our 50th Anniversary logo see application section.
  • The flag should not contain any inappropriate text or images.
  • The entry may be drawn or painted in pencil, charcoal, pen or ink, felt-tip markers, crayon, pastel, water colours, gouache, acrylics, oils, poster colour and computer aided design may be used.
  • The entrant must utilise Tipperary Credit Union’s colour palette (Blue,Green,Grey,White). Other colours may be used to enhance the flag. The CMYK values can be provided on request please email if required.
  • Entries must be submitted to Tipperary Credit Unions Head Office located on Emmet Street, Tipperary Town by 5.p.m on Wednesday the 21st of December.
  • The competition is open to all our members.
  • By entering the competition you are giving permission for Tipperary Credit Union to use your flag for any promotional purpose.
  • By entering into the competition you understand that photographs may be used for distribution to national and local press as well as magazines, internal publications/web material or any social media for example Facebook or Twitter etc.
  • Intellectual Property ownership resides with the creator but they grant use to Tipperary Credit Union to use the image of the flag.
  • Judging of the winning flag is at Tipperary Credit Unions sole discretion. No correspondence will be entered into.

Cappawhite Open Day

We had an Open Day on Saturday the 19th of August to celebrate our Cappawhite Branch’s new Saturday Opening Hours 10.30a.m. – 12 Noon and what fun we had! Our Cappahwtite branch has been operating for over 30 years and is located on Main Street, Cappahwite, Tipperary.


Bansha Show 2017

Tipperary Credit Union had a stand at this year’s Bansha Show. The Bansha Show has been running for over 60 years and what a show it is. There is literally something for everyone no matter what age. From Show jumping, Dog Shows, Food and Crafts..


Bansha Open Day

The first of our Open Days took place at our St Bernard’s Branch Office in February. St Bernard’s Credit Union joined with Tipperary Credit Union in 2014 when a Transfer of Engagments occurred between them. The St Berndard’s branch has been operating in Bansha for 50 years this year also.

Plassey Open Day

As Tipperary Credit Union are celebrating 50th years of serving our members, we will be holding Member Open Days in our all our branches over the coming year. Our next Open Day will take place in our Plassey branch located in Plassey Park Rd, Castletroy, Limerick, on Friday the 16th of June from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Digital Media Competition 2017

The competition is open to students at the following schools: St Anne’s Secondary School, The Abbey CBS, St Ailbe’s Vocational School and Scoil na Trionoide Naofa.

You can have a maximum of 5 students per team. Schools can have multiple entrants but each school team must receive the permission of the school principal or one other authorised school representative to compete. Consent from a parent or guardian is also required. The theme of the digital video is “The Credit Union Difference”. It should also be remembered that it is Tipperary Credit Union’s 50th Anniversary this year.

The video should be suitable for display on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Credit Union website and other online media channels. The video should be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds long. The video content can be live action or animated. The competition would be promoted by the Credit Unions Youth Committee and the student bodies where applicable.

The closing date for entry forms to be submitted is Friday 7th April 2017 and entry forms must be submitted with all parental consent forms to be considered valid. Closing date for video submissions is Thursday the 18th of May 2017. The video can be submitted any time

before this date. The video must be emailed to for vetting no later than the 5.00p.m. Friday the 5th of May. The team name needs to be referenced on all correspondence from the entrant to Tipperary Credit Union. Video clips must be vetted and approved by Tipperary Credit Union before being displayed online or on any media channel. Tipperary Credit Union will have the final say on what is deemed appropriate. The teams have until 11.59p.m. Sunday May 14th to promote their digital video. It can be promoted as soon as it is vetted and approved. The team will receive a confirmation email once the video has been vetted and approved for promoting.

The video will be displayed on Tipperary Credit Union’s own media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Website, etc.) and it can be liked, shared and promoted from there.

The entries will be judged under the following main criteria:

  • Original and Inventive Elements (Is the clip original in its content and format?)
  • Compelling Nature (Is the clip inspiring? Does it catch the audience’s attention?)
  • Development of Concept (Is there a clear structure to the clip? How good is the production? Is a central theme apparent?)
  • The number of likes, shares, views, tweets and the general promotion of the video.

Tipperary Credit Union donated €5,000 to St Vincent’s Day Care Centre.  St Vincent’s Day Care Centre was established in 1988; it caters for 25-30 patrons daily and contributes greatly to their quality of life and particularly their carers.
